Ctronix Bi-Axial Tensile tester is a completely PC based machine and the design is based on the pioneering work of Prof. Kawabata of Japan. The mechanical design of the machine, complete automation ensures repeatability and eliminates human errors. The software for the host P.C. runs under Windows XP /7 environment. It is highly user friendly and a basic knowledge of windows is sufficient to run the machine.

After all the parameters are filled in, the operator has to click start.
· The machine starts the motor(s) and the data for load and elongation is displayed in the monitor in tabular form.
· The matrix is updated Real Time.
The motor(s) stop, when the algorithm for termination chosen by the operator is satisfied. The operator can choose to save or discard the result. The algorithm for termination (end of experiment) provided are:
· When the sample fails in either axis.
· When the elongation goes beyond a certain value.
· When the load preset by the operator is reached.
The results can be saved as individual results or the results can be stored as a set of no. of results of the same sample. In case a set (more than1) is stored,(continued) the software can calculate and display the following:
· Max. Load on each axis.
· Average load.
· Max. elongation
· Average elongation.
Standard deviation of the results.
Graphic representation of load and elongation for the matrix.
